8.2.7. The interpretation of the results

8.2.7.1. Make the interpretation of the results of regulating and self-regulating influences on psycho-physiological characteristics according to the figures of columns 10, 11 and 12, table 22.

  • If the index of column 10, table 22 has “+” sign, it means that the diagnosed influence raises left hemisphere activation, if it has “–” sign – then the influence lowers it.

  • Absolute quantity of the index in column 10, table 22 indicates the degree of increasing or lowering of left hemisphere activation under the diagnosed influence. This index should be interpreted according to the universal diagnostic scale of asymmetries and deltas given in 2.1 of appendix 2.

  • Indexes in column 11(changes of right hemisphere activation) and 12 (changes of FAH) are interpreted by analogy.

  • If the results of the diagnostics are shown as a diagram, the movement of the line upwards means the increase of activation, downwards – its lowering (decrease).

The diagram enables to compare the indexes of different time intervals with each other (according to formula 27). You should interpret the results of this comparison according to the universal diagnostic scale of asymmetries and deltas (2.1, appendix 2).

8.2.7.2. Make the interpretation of the results of the diagnostics of regulating and self-regulating influences on psychic states due to the indexes of column 13, table 22, by analogy with 8.2.7.1.

  • The results of the diagnostics shown as a diagram are interpreted by analogy.

8.2.7.3. Interpret the results of the diagnostics of bioenergy influence in the Following way:

  • on soma – by analogy with the interpretation of the results by method of R.Voll;

  • on psycho-physiological characteristics – according to 8.2.1;

  • on psychic states – according to 8.2.2.

8.2.7.4. Interpret the results of the diagnostics of regulating and self-regulating influences on psychic processes using the same scheme, i.e. using the results of comparison of control and background indexes of necessary measures.

8.2.7.5. The results of the diagnostics of regulating (educating) and self-regulating (self-educating) influences on personality psychological and socio-psychological characteristics are interpreted by analogy.

If these characteristics were diagnosed by the method of expert estimations and self-appraisal, use the arithmetic mean index of expert estimations when interpreting the effectiveness of educating and self-educating influences.

8.2.8. Some possible ways of practical use of the methods and the results of the diagnostics

8.2.8.1. The methods of the diagnostics of regulating and influences on psycho-physiological characteristics should be used together with the methods of the diagnostics of regulating influences on psychic states. These methods may be used:

  • in the rooms of psychological unloading while selecting optimum influences on people;

  • in the process of personnel selection in the professions making high demands to the brain activation, steadiness of FAH, psycho-emotional steadiness;

  • as a means of a feedback in the formation of reliability in extreme situations;

  • while creating and probing the simulators and the methods of reliability formation in different kinds of activity;

  • in neurology, psychiatry, psychotherapy.

8.2.8.2. The methods of the diagnostics of self-regulating influences and psychic states can be used:

  • while teaching people the ways of psychic self-regulation;

  • in the personnel selecting process for such professions which make high demands to a person’s psychic self-regulation;

  • while making and probing the courses of psycho-regulating training.

8.2.8.3. The results of the diagnostics of regulating and self-regulating influences on psychic processes can be used:

  • in the educational process as a means of a feedback;

  • in medicine, while restoring cognitive and psycho-motive functions.

8.2.8.4. The methods and the results of the diagnostics of regulating and self-regulating influences on a personality psychological characteristics can be used:

  • in the formation and self-formation of these characteristics as a means of a feedback;

  • creating and probing the methods and equipment for the formation and self-formation of these characteristics.
