Must, Have to, Be to
Must has only one form. Be to can be used in two tenses – the Present Simple & the Past Simple.

Need
Need can be used both as a modal and as a notional verb.
As a modal it is mostly used in negative and interrogative sentences. It has only one tense form – the present.
