The master thesis fulfillment
A special attention should be paid to the logical change of paragraphs and within the paragraph – from point to point. It is not the pure description but the critical examination and analysis of the data that play the most important role.
Introduction should orientate the reader for the further topic description. Introduction contains the importance of the chosen topic, aim and content of the stated problem, the object and subject of the research, the methods of the research, significance of the outcomes.
When grounding the importance of the topic one should not only outline the relevance for the modern international business, but also show the reasons for the personal interest. The important element of the introduction is the paper structure characteristics, which reveals the inner logic of the master thesis structure.
Usually, the master thesis consists of 3-5 chapters. For example, the master thesis can have the following structure:
The 1st chapter describes the problem in the context of modern international business management and critical review of the existing literature.
The 2nd chapter contains the methods and solution approaches to the stated problem. Depending on the problem type of the final qualification paper the theory can be shown as verbal, mathematical and other models. The author should try to make his own contributions to the development of theoretical models.
The 3rd chapter has a practical character. There may be two options in writing this chapter. The first option assumes practical recommendations for management of a concrete company. The second option supposes development of strategic implications for solving general management problem and their illustration by several practical examples.
Each chapter should contain summary with the reached outcomes.
When presenting disputable questions in the final qualification paper one should give a review of several authors. All points of view should be supported by the quotations - that’s the only condition when critics can be considered objective. It is obligatorily to compare recommendations given by different authors in case there is a difference in points of view. That’s the condition which makes it possible for the student to ground his opinion or agree with the existing point of view, providing anyway corresponding arguments.
Some of the points should be illustrated by the data from official statistics directories, monographs etc formatted into to tables. If the analytical table exceeds the size of one page, it should be placed in the appendix.
Conclusion – logical exposition of the results and their comparison with the aim of the maser thesis, which had been formulated in the introduction.
