1.2. Instruction of the laboratory work
1.2.1. Input of initial data to the program STATISTICA.
Find the shortcut STATISTICA on the desktop and enter the program.
On the upper panel of STATISTICA choose the function “File”, and in it – the command New” – fig.1.1.

After this the task form of working data array, which is created will appear. (Fig.1.2).
To the window “Number of variables” it’s necessary to enter the value of realizations, that will be subjected to statistical analysis (in our case, -6), and in the window Number of cases - number of variables in each sample (in our case - 25 elements). Then press OK and working array of specified format will appear.

After entering the data from the table of options for LW1 (given at the end of the description of LW – tab. 1.1) press the OK button. The data file will be saved.
To specify a unique name for each sample in the dataset rather trivial “Var” it’s necessary:
On the field of the chosen variable “Var №” in the data array, double click the right mouse button;
In the form “Variables №” enter to the window “Name” the new name of the variable (f.e., І month) – fig. 1.3.

To save the file under its original name at the top of the main application form STATISTICA it’s necessary to choose the function “File”, and in it the command “Save аs…” – fig.1.4.

Then we introduce selected file name in the appropriate box shape “Save аs…” and specify a location on the disk where it is stored - fig. 1.5.

1.2.2. Construction of time chart values of chosen production rate
To construct the time diagrams of samples in the main application form of STATISTICA it’s necessary to choose the function “Graphs”. In the window of this function we choose “2D graphs”, and in it – kind of graphical construction – “ 2D Line Plots – Variables” – fig.1.6.

Pressing left mouse button on the desired position on the screen will form the window parameter setting of the regime (fig.1.7).

After this:
In the option “Quick” we set:
- after pushing the button “Variables” – arrays of data names (recommended 2-3), which was assigned to them;
- in the window “Graph type” - “Multiple”
- in the window “Case names” (fig.1.8) – the “Off” regime “Off” (ie on the X axis will be postponed numbers of data samples - in our case - month weekdays).

After this press ОК. The screen will appear ordered by the timing diagrams (fig.1.9).
