Recycling, formation rehabilitation and cleaning machine rpm-rs-900
Even the RPM-RS-900's length is impressive. Almost 200 metres high-performance technology on the move, designed as a state of the art, is used to renew the substructure of the railway tracks. Formation rehabilitation, ballast cleaning and ballast recycling work have been integrated and realized by a single machine complex.
The RPM-RS-900 was designed for formation rehabilitation and for processing the ballast of tracks. The ballast is excavated, recycled, re-laid, compacted and stabilized. The soil is excavated; the new formation protection layer (FPL) is laid, profiled and compacted. All these operations are performed without blocking the adjacent track. This enables short track possessions and high track availability. This new machine has been in service since March 2007.
Ballast recycling work is performed by tamping and ballasting machine and includes:
excavation, processing and transport of old ballast;
laying of cleaned ballast;
removal and transport of excavated soil on MFS wagons;
transporting ballast residues from site on MFS wagon;
screening with screening machine;
supply, laying and compaction of FPL material;
supply, laying, compaction and stabilisation of new ballast.
Cleaning work is carried out by ballast processing car with pre-cleaning. This work comprises:
excavating the ballast;
double pre-cleaning with subsequent screening;
ballasting using a swivelling conveyor belt with level control;
compacting the ballast formation using compactors.
New ballast can be laid using following MFS units: integrated continuously working tamping machine with satellite 16 tampers and sweeping shaft. It has cleaning capacity of 900 m3/h and can replace ballast completely in a single operation.
FPL recycling work is performed by screening wagon and consists of:
excavating the ballast;
crushing the ballast material;
mixing the recycled FPL material with the newly added material;
placing and compacting the material as a formation protection layer.
The RPM-RS-900 complex consists of 8 units: Driver Cabin, Power Unit, Screening Car, Ballast Processing Car with Pre-cleaning, Excavation Machine, Tamping and Ballasting Machine, MFS 40-D, Transfer Car.
