Proper correlation of the approaches to classify words into parts of speech and their main ideas:

  1. Classical (logical-inflectional) approach

  1. Distributional approach

  1. is based on the ability of words to combine with other words of different types. In this way, there are 4 major classes of words and 15 form-classes.
