Упражнение 1. Сравните пары предложений и действия в них. Переведите (устно) предложения на русский язык, обращая внимание на употребление времен в русском и английском языках. Поставьте обозначения -ОД, если действия в предложении происходят одновременно, ПД - если действие придаточного предшествует действию главного предложения. Следите за сдвигом времен в придаточном предложении (Таблицы 1 и 2).

Завершите предложения с глаголами tell или say (в нужной форме). Помните: tell употребляется, если есть указание на то, к кому эта речь обращена (tell smb.); say употребляется когда передается что-то или что-то кому-то (say smth. или say smth. to smb.). Например: Sonya told me that you were ill.
