** Task I. Чи можна вважати вдалим переклад прізвиськ у поемі «Гайдамаки» Т. Шевченка та в повісті «Fata morgana» M. Коцюбинського англій­ською мовою?

*** Task ІIІ. Порівняйте; «Коло Гафійки сидів Олекса Безик, якого на селі звали Півтора лиха». — "Next to Hafiyka sat Olexa Bezik whom the villagers called Hard luck". Обидва перекладачі виявили винахідливість, англізуючи прізвиська дотепно, з почуттям міри. Вони виходили з того, що в англійській мові є фразеологізм a hard luck, що означає «гірка доля».
