Exercise 6. («developing transformation skills») трансформационное чтение. Это упражнение не содержит межъязыкового перевода. Учащиеся должны пересказать текст упражнения на русском языке, не переводя. Прочтите текст 1 раз и перескажите близко к тексту.
«При устном переводе, основными видами которого являются последовательный и синхронный, перед переводчиком стоит задача максимально полной передачи содержания, по возможности быстрой и, по возможности, с сохранением особенностей индивидуального стиля оратора. В связи с этим, обучение устному переводу нацелено на выработку навыка быстрой устной межъязыковой трансляции.
Обычно обучение устному переводу разбивается на подготовительный и основной этапы. Подготовительный этап - это усиленное изучение иностранного языка, с которого и на который студент будет учиться переводить. В обучение иностранному языку на подготовительном этапе широко вводится аудирование, которое крайне необходимо будущему переводчику, и студенты начинают переводить простые устные и письменные тексты с иностранного языка на родной. Активный комплексный тренинг устного перевода начинается на основном этапе обучения.
Среди упражнений, применяемых в разных школах перевода, чаще всего встречаются: тренинг памяти, тренинг переключения с языка на язык, тренировка темпа, работа над лексикой, тренинг трансформации .
Выбор упражнений обусловлен необходимостью формирования следующих навыков и умений:
