11. How to become successful

Success isn’t something complicated, but it’s not easy either. You have to do something and use what you have learned to generate the outcome and achieve your goals. So are you ready to learn and set in effort for your dreams? Here are the 3success principles that can help you…

1. The very first principle you’ll want to adopt will be visionary. Do you know what kind of life you need to live? Are you aware just how much you need to earn? Are you aware what you want to accomplish in the foreseeable future? Knowing what you want is the first step to achieving it. If you don’t understand what you would like to accomplish, how could you tell when you have achieved it? This is just what is happening to most people out there. They do not know what they want; as a result, they are living in mediocrity. Do not let this occur to you; be absolutely clear together with your dreams and your goals.

2. Next, adopt the habit of focusing in your dreams and your goals. Always think about what you want and do something to accomplish them. Always remember this, you’re what you believe you’re. The more you think about your goals, the much more likely that you’re going to take action to achieve them. The primary key here is to program and condition what you want into your subconscious mind. So think and focus on your goals all the time.

3. Lastly, think that you are able to achieve it and take action immediately. Do you seriously believe that you can become a millionaire? If you don’t believe that it is possible for you, you will never go full out and put in 100% commitment. When you truly believe in something, you will tap into your full potential and make things happen. And don’t forget to take action everyday. Be sure you do something that will move you toward your goals each day. This will ensure that you are creating the results you want and are moving in the right direction.

4. Harmful addictions

There are many addictions. For many people, fact about workaholism are not clear. What is workaholism, exactly? When should a person seek help about his problem related to his job. Workaholism is the same kind of addiction, like alcoholism. Most often, workaholism in its severe from could be observed. They have always been getters, and for modem workaholics it is a good argument to justify themselves. For smart people it is easier to become a workaholic, because physical labor can not last long. For example, modern workaholics are the majority of computer geeks.

These people, suffering from this particular from of addiction, have a special warehouse mentality. According to most physicians, these people are always restless about themselves. The problem of workaholism is that the line between hard work and this disease is difficult to draw. A workaholic usually leaves work later, much later than the other workers. Most likely it seems to us we don't depend on workaholics but if his boss sees his work and thinks that other workers can stay after work too. So he voluntarily or involuntarily pulls the staff in an uncomfortable situation for them. It should be noted that workaholics ore divided into several groups. In the first there are workaholics who work because they like it. In the second there are workaholics who work because they have to. There are those are engaged in useless activities, which nobody is interested in it simulates, filling avoid in his life.

I think that workaholism is curable, if a workaholic understands in time that he is a workaholic. That in his life, there are serious problems from which he frees to work, without deciding, but only adding to them. Likely workaholics need to learn to enjoy doing nothing. Spend a delicious lunch twice as longer than usual. Give yourself a break once a week. You can choose a distraction from work but what it could be family, religion, art, sport or embroidering a cross - it's up to you.

10. Sexual discrimination

Despite the existence of regulations that promote equality in the workplace, gender discrimination is still widespread. When it comes to earnings and employment rates, women still do not match up to men. The average salary of women is 72 to 88% that of men, even when variables like age, education, job tenure and position level are considered (Crosby & Stockdale, 2007). In many countries, the glass ceiling is always present for women and the salary differences are considerable compared to men. It is also more likely for women to be stuck in low-paying but more secure positions.

The employment rate for women was historically lower; however, as a result of the recent recession, women's participation in the workforce has exceeded that of men. The competence of women to do well professionally has been acknowledged worldwide. Nonetheless sex discrimination in the workplace still continues in one form or the other. At present, women have pervaded almost all fields that were previously regarded as being ‘men-only'. If a woman is eligible based on all the requirements of a job, then there should be no reason for gender discrimination in the workplace.

Gender discrimination can occur at any stage of employment, from employee recruitment to training and payment, occupational isolation, or during layoffs. It can also occur in several forms including outright denial of employment on gender basis. Women can also be denied benefits and other privileges receive by their male counterparts. Another form of discrimination can be overlooking of women's performance when considering employees for promotion. This is regularly done on the unreasonable assumption that women do not have the capacity to handle stressful situations and are inclined to be emotionally influenced when taking decisions as superior personnel in the business sector. While hiring, many organizations prefer men to women staff although most often they do not disclose this attitude when advertising for job openings. Other than these general forms, sexual harassment is also covered within the scope of sex discrimination in the workplace.

The most apparent effect of sex discrimination reflects in the company's performance. In an organization where gender discrimination is widespread, the quality of work of its staff is compromised. Unquestionably, it is difficult for the affected employees to work under stressful conditions. Those who are not directly affected may also get disheartened on witnessing the organization's apathy to sex discrimination. Furthermore as the company's negative image of discriminatory tendencies spreads, its correlation with present and prospective clients may be hampered. Poor retention and loss of potential employees are also possible effects of gender discrimination.

5. Bicycle

A modern bicycle by definition is a rider-powered vehicle with two wheels in tandem, powered by the rider turning pedals that are connected to the rear wheel by a chain, and having handlebars for steering and a saddlelike seat for the rider. With that definition in mind, let's look at the history of early bicycles that led up to the modern bicycle.

Bicycle History in Debate

A few years ago, most historians felt that Pierre and Ernest Michaux, the French father and son team of carriage-makers, invented the first bicycle during the 1860s. Historians now disagree since there is evidence that the bicycle and bicycle like vehicles are older than that. Historians do agree that Ernest Michaux did invent a bicycle with pedal and rotary cranks in 1861. However, they disagree if Michaux made the very first bike with pedals.

Another fallacy in bicycle history is that Leonardo DaVinci sketched a design for a very modern looking bicycle in 1490. This has been proven to be untrue.
