2. Topic “The Ural State Law Academy”
The Law Academy is one of the biggest leading higher educational institutions in our country. Its foundation goes back in April 1931. It was formed on the basis of the Irkutsk State University as a law faculty. Later it was reorganized into the Siberian Institute of Soviet Law. In 1934 the Institute moved into Sverdlovsk, got the name of the Sverdlovsk Institute of Law and bore this name into 1992. Now it’s called the Ural State Law Academy.
The Academy is situated in Yekaterinburg, among other higher schools such as the Urals Federal University, the Mining Academy and other.
At present, the Academy has four institutes at the day departments: the Institute of Prosecutor’s Office, the Institute of Justice, the Institute of Business and Law, the Institute of State and International Law, and several faculties (of Law and Psychology, of Bachelor/Master Training).
Besides the full-time department there is also a part-time department and a correspondence department. The Academy is housed in four study buildings with libraries and reading halls where the students are able to get ready for their classes. There are also snack bars and during halls where the students can have a snack or dinner during breaks or after classes.
The Academy possesses a high intellectual potential: over 50 full professors, more than 150 assistant professors, many experienced lectures work at the Academy. The teaching stuff is over 500 people. The student body of all the departments taken together numbers more than 12.000 people and several tens of post-graduation.
Our Students are to take tests and exams on each subject includes into the curriculum. As the academic year is divided into two semesters, terminal tests and exams are held in January and June. And then, when all the tests and exams are passed successfully, the students have vacations.
The Academy trains judges, prosecutors, advocates and other lawyers. After completing the education our graduates work at courts, prosecutor’s office, Militia, the Bar and other law enforcement organs.
Юридическая академия является одним из крупнейших ведущих высших учебных заведений в нашей стране. Его основа восходит в апреле 1931 года. Она была создана на базе Иркутского государственного университета, юридический факультет. Позднее он был преобразован в Сибирский институт советского права.В 1934 году институт переехал в Свердловск, получил название Свердловской Институт права и носил это название в 1992 году. Теперь она называется Уральской государственной юридической академии. Академия расположена в Екатеринбурге, среди других вузов, таких как Уральский федеральный университет, горная академия и другие. В настоящее время Академия имеет четыре институтов в день подразделения: Институт прокуратуры, Институт юстиции, Институт бизнеса и права, Институт государства и международного права, а также несколько факультетов (права и психологии, бакалавр / Master Training).
