8) This is the most desirable present of all I have received for my birthday though there are a lot of them.

9) I read the engraving on the clock and now I really feel I am part of the family, many generations of our family. 10) I could not dream about a better present! 11) Thank you again...

2) У цьому листі я хотів би по­дякувати тобі за надзвичайний по­дарунок на мій день народження! 3) Мені дуже сподобався цей чу­довий годинник. 4) Він дідусів? 5) Я завжди про нього мріяв. 6) 3 са­мого дитинства! 7) А тепер я буду берегти його як раритет і завжди пам'ятати про тебе й дідуся.

8) Це найбажаніший подарунок на день народження з усіх, що мені подарували, хоч їх було чимало.

9) Я прочитав вигравіруваний напис на годиннику й почуваюся частиною родини, багатьох поколінь нашої родини. 10) Я і мріяти не міг про кращий подарунок! 11) Ще раз дякую...

1) One of the most impressive places of interest in Ukraine is Nikitsky Botanic Garden. 2) It is a great scientific and research centre in Mykyta village on the southern coast of the Crimean Peninsula. 3) In December 2001 it was recognized as a national treasure of Ukraine.

4) The Emperor Oleksander the First signed an order on petition of Due de Richelieu about organizing an Imperial state botanic garden in the Crimea. 5) In March 1812, a scientist Christian Steven was appointed to the post of the director of the garden. 6) It was him who created and organized the garden the way we know it now. 7) As he thought, the garden must have all the decorative and useful plants that grew in southern Europe. 8) And in 1812, the first plants were planted. 9) In 12 years more than 450 kinds of exotic plants were being grown in the garden. 10) In 1818 they started to grow grapevine in the Magarach hole on the territory of the botanic garden, 11) Now Magarach wines are well known beyond Ukraine.

12) However, Nikitsky botanic garden is more popular now as a cultural and entertaining centre. 13) Every year dozens of educational and captivating excursions are conducted there and the guides tell the visitors stones of all the inconceivable plants that are carefully taken care of there.

14) For example, there is a patch of silver firs there which have the unique quality of disinfecting the surrounding air. 15) They make the air so crystal clear that it is possible to perform surgeries right there!

16) They also grow bamboo grass there that grows so quickly that one can actually see it! 17) One cannot but mention the so-called naked tree that loses its bark and looks like a snake that is changing its skin. 18) You should also see a great number of unbelievable flowers and bushes, trees and other plants that are grown there. 19) It cannot be described in words; you should come and see it with your own eyes,

1) Одним із найцікавіших місць в Україні є Нікітський ботанічний сад. 2) Це великий науково-дослід­ницький центр, розташований у селі Микита на південному узбережжі Кримського півострова. 3) У грудні 2001 року він був визнаний націо­нальним надбанням України.

4) Імператор Олександр Перший підписав наказ за клопотанням гер­цога де Рішелье про установу імпера­торського ботанічного саду в Криму. 5) У березні 1812 року директором саду було призначено вченого Кріс-тіана Стевена. 6) Він був тим, хто створив сад таким, яким ми його знаємо зараз. 7) За його задумом, у саду мали бути представлені всі декоративні й корисні рослини, які росли в Південній Європі. 8) У 1812 році були посаджені перші рослини. 9) За 12 років у саду нараховувалося більше 450 видів екзотичних рос­лин, 10) У 1818 році розпочалося вирощування винного винограду в Магарачі, що є частиною території саду. 11) Зараз вина Магарача добре відомі за межами України.

12) Тепер Нікітський ботанич-ний сад у цілому більше відомий як культурно-розважальний центр. 13) Щороку там проводяться десят­ки захопливих освітніх екскурсій, гіди розповідають відвідувачам про всі неймовірні рослини, що ретельно вирощуються там.

14) Наприклад, у саду є ділянка з ялицями, які мають унікальні зді­бності з очищення навколишнього повітря, 15) Вони роблять повітря настільки чистим, що можна про­водити хірургічні операції просто там.

16) Також там вирощують бам­бук, який росте так швидко, що це можна побачити. 17) He можна не згадати про так зване «голе дерево», що скидає свою кору й виглядає як змія під час линяння. 18) Ви зможе­те побачити велику кількість неймо­вірних квітів і кущів, дерев та інших рослин, які там вирощують. 19) Це неможливо описати словами, — їдь­те й побачте все на власні очі.
