The following 10 sets of problems deal with percentages, which, like decimals, are a special kind of fraction. Percentages have many everyday uses, from figuring the tip in a restaurant to understanding complicated interest and inflation rates. This section will give you practice in work-

ing with the relationship between percents, decimals, and fractions, and with changing one into another. You will also practice ratios and proportions, which are similar to percentages.
