I. Transcribe the words and learn their pronunciation:

VI. Give some facts to prove the following statements. Quote the text if necessary.

I. Learn the pronunciation of the following words:

  1. Does Ralph always feel confident taking a decision? Provide examples when he does not.

  2. Is Jack ready to take up the position of a chief? What makes you think so?

  3. How do you understand the phrase “the pressure of personality” Simon thinks about on p. 167(103)?

  4. What urged Jack to join Ralph on p. 170(106)?

  5. Compare the reaction of the boys when they saw the “fort”. How does it characterize them?
