abandon vt

Note: The Ukrainian for to ignore is ігнорувати, не помічати. Ignore does not correspond to the Ukrainian зневажати, не турбуватися про щось, упускати з виду which is expressed by the verb to neglect, as to neglect one's duties, one's children.
