He is just a bad mixer. 12) I didn’t think that such an intelligent person as John would prove to be so touchy. 13) If I were you, I would much rather keep away from him. 14) All of us are of a very high opinion of this teacher. She is an even-tempered person, which appeals to children so much, and they took to her at once, too. On the whole, she has a way with children. 15) At seventy, he still looked rather young on account of his soldierly bearing, tanned complexion, masculine features and a good head of hair (a fine crop of hair; tousle) which gave no signs of thinning. He didn’t look his age, no way. 16) How does your mother look after her rest? – She looks wonderful and quite rested. She got (There is) a little (more) colour in her cheeks.
