The aim of the work: acquaintance with the study of the principle of the protective shutdown device.

The order of performance of the laboratory work

Research the theoretical material sufficient to perform laboratory work. Answer control questions and get the teacher's admission to perform laboratory work.

According to the scheme (Figure 11.3), perform electrical connections of the modules for studying the RCD. Installation of production schemes with disconnected power. The current is controlled by the ammeter PA1 of the module "Measuring module". The voltage is supplied from the autotransformer TV2 of the Autotransformer module.

Set the minimum output voltage of the autotransformer by turning the adjustment knob counter-clockwise until it stops. Turn on the circuit breaker and the differential current switch "Network" of the module "Power module".

Transfer the RCD QF2 module "Device protective shutdown. Load "in the" I "position. Set the output voltage of the autotransformer UTV2 = 24 V (voltage monitor autotransformer). Verify the operation of the RCD by pressing the "T-Test" button, the RCD (position "0") will be disconnected.
Set the output voltage of the autotransformer UTV1 = 0V. Connect the ammeter PA1 to the circuit in accordance with Figure 11.3. Transfer the RCD to the "I" position. Increase the output voltage of the autotransformer UTV1 until the RCD trips. The current value (PA1) at which the RCD is triggered is the tripping differential current Iut of this RCD instance, which according to the requirements must be in the range of 0.5 Iout-Iout, where Iut.nom is the rated residual current (leakage current on the RCD body).

After drafting the draft and checking the results the teacher needs to disassemble the scheme, provide the complete set and the right to the teacher or laboratory assistant.

Conclusion
In carrying out this laboratory work we have become acquainted with the research of the principle of the protective shutdown device. Also we acquainted the theoretical information about protective shutdown device and done our laboratory work on the laboratory stand. On this stand we set a minimum voltage for founding the current value at which the protective shutdown device is triggered.
At the end of the work we measured all quantities and write down it to our table.
