Rayleigh Reverse Engineering Dialog Box
The Rayleigh Reverse Engineering Dialog Boxis displayed when you selectReverse Engineering from theRayleigh Menu.
This dialog box allows you to perform "what-if" analysis on your Rayleigh Model. When the dialog box is first displayed, all three columns are populated with the calculation totals from your Rayleigh Model. Select the radio button beside the model input you wish to change. Enter the new value and select Calculateto see how the model is adjusted based on this value as its starting point. The results of the calculation are displayed in theOutputcolumn. TheOriginalcolumn displays the actual values contained in your Model.
Selecting Resetwill return theInputvalues to the Original values from your Model.
Select Close to exit the dialog box and return to theSummary Information Window. Reverse Engineering adjustments are not applied to your model.
For more information on using Reverse Engineering for your model, see Reverse Engineering in Chapter 6, Using Advanced COSMOS Features.

Note: The FP, COCOMO, and Rayleigh Descriptions option applies to Projects. This option will not be available for Function Point, COCOMO, Rayleigh Models, and System. The COCOMO Phase distribution option applies to COCOMO models and Projects only. The Sensitivity Analysis applies to the Function Point, COCOMO, Rayleigh Models only. |
Hint: Disabling the FP, COCOMO, and Rayleigh Descriptions for a project may allow you to see complete project results at one time |
For this dialog box you will define how information is displayed in the Function Point, COCOMO, Rayleigh, andProject Summary Information Windows. Thedescription, Function Point, COCOMO, and Rayleigh descriptions(for projects only),COCOMO phase distribution (for COCOMO models and projects only),intermediate totals, totals, and sensitivity analysis resultswill be displayed for your model or project if the box next to it is marked. Unmark the item if you do not want to see it. The display options will be saved with your model or project. The display options apply to the active model or project only. The default display options for new models and projects can be changed by modifying the COSMOS.INI file. The COSMOS Technical Reference,Appendix A: INI File Entriescontains detailed information on modifying the COSMOS.INI file. |
