Eurocities’ Activity in the context of the integration and globalization

The article outlines the framework of the integrated urban policy as a diverse Eurocities response to globalization pressures. The author gives а brief review of the key directions of the Network’s project activities, such as «smart» energy consumption, sustainable «green» transport and social cohesion. The article concludes that the Europe’s urban model creates а new type of the city community — «smart citizens» and reinforces the potential of Eurocities’ collective actorness.
