a) Read the text about Violett Scott and write a CV for her.

Violet Scott is 33. She was born on March 8, 1978. She is not married and lives alone in small apartment 4C in a big apartment house number 15 at 120 Street in New York City, USA. She is a US citizen, but would like to work abroad. Recently, she has read an advertisement that Lucia Enterprises, Ltd. in London needs computer programmers. Violet is an experienced programmer. She graduated from Columbia University in mathematics in 2001 and got her MS (Master of Science) degree. Since then, she was trained in two advanced computer technology programs at the same University in 2005 and 2008. Since 2003, Violet has been selfemployed and has been developing computer programs at different companies' orders. But orders are running low, and Violet has no contracts after July 2010. That is why she is looking for a full-time computer programmer position and is eager to be employed after February 1, 2012.

Violet speaks three European languages fluently (German, French, and, Spanish). She considers it as her important personal asset - a good addition to her advanced skills in computer programming.

She likes swimming and often takes part in swimming competitions. She is also very interested in modern history and in environmental issues.

One of her professors at Columbia University (who also trained her in both advanced computer technology programs), Dr. Higgins, knows her very well and is always ready to write a reference for her.

b) Read the text about Peter Shevchuk and write a CV for him.

18

year (2012) in June from the Mathematics Department of Kiev National University. He specializes in computer programming and, after graduating, he will receive the Diploma of a specialist in computer programming. He has read an advertisement that Lucia Enterprises, Ltd. in London needs computer programmers and wants to mail his application for a full-time position. He will indicate on it that he will be available after July 1, 2012 (after his graduation).

Peter has no professional experience, but he hopes that his excellent results in studies and the fact that he is going to graduate with honors will be taken into account.

He is married and has a one-year old daughter. If he gets the position in Lucia Enterprises, they will go to London with him.

Peter speaks fluent English, besides his mother-tongue, Ukrainian, and Russian. He is interested in theater. He is a good sportsman (boxing and karate).

He can ask Professor Matveychuk from his University for a reference. He knows Peter very well as an excellent student and a promising programmer.
