1. What is a LAN?

LAN (Local Area Network) - supplies networking capability to a group of computers in close area to each other , such as in office building, a school, a home.

2. What is a WAN?

WAN ( Wide Area Network ) , it is a computer network that covers a far wider area than a LAN. WAN often connects multiple smaller networks, such as local area networks (LAN).

3. What is a thin client?

A thin client is a computing device that’s connected to a network. A thin client functions as a virtual desktop, using the computing power residing on networked servers.

4. What is a thick client?

Thick clients are functional whether they are connected to a network or not. Thick client has the memory , storage and computing power to run applications and perform computing tasks on its own.

5. What are the implications of thin and thick clients for a server?

Thin client require powerful server, than thick client.
