•Exceptional planning enabled construction to be completed in just 41 months.
•First time top down construction used while the slip core was suspended on plunge columns – saved four months.
•UK’s longest continuous concrete pour: 5,500 cubic metres of concrete laid in 36 hours.
•First crane to be supported on top of a slipform core.
•UK’s first use of jump-lifts.
•Offsite prefabrication of The Spire helped ensure the complex structure was installed safely and efficiently.
•MEP prefabrication saved time and improved quality, health and safety.
•SHP/IOSH Award 2012 for best achievement in health and safety in construction.
•Skills and training programme created 71 jobs for local people and 13 apprenticeships.

•EC Harris/Mace joint venture team to project manage the iconic Kingdom Tower project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
•Will be the world’s tallest building, standing over 1km in height.
