Функциональный cтиль
Функциональный cтиль (ФС) (Functional Style) - это общественно осознанная и функционально обусловленная совокупность приемов употребления, отбора и сочетания языковых средств, направленная на достижение определенной цели сообщения.
Две основные категории ФС
литературно обработанный (книжный) стиль;
разговорный стиль.
Классификация стилей
Стиль художественной речи (the Belles-lettres Style)
Публицистический стиль (Publicist Style)
Научно-технический стиль (Style of Scientific Works)
Официально-деловой стиль (Style of Official or Business Documents)
Газетный стиль (Newspaper Style)
Свободно-разговорный стиль (Colloquial Style)

When the man they call No Drama Obama met the Clinton Psychodrama in the Democratic primary campaign, it was bound () to produce an epic (эпическую поэму) for the ages.
