DOCUMENTATION IN AN ILS ENVIRONMENT

PREFACE

This Defence Standard supersedes Def Stan 00-60 (Part 11)/Issue 2 dated 31 March 1998

iThis part of the Defence Standard provides information and guidance on the application of Part 10 of this Defence Standard and AECMA Specification 1000D to Ministry of Defence (MOD) procurement programmes and through-life management of defence materiel within an Integrated Logistic Support(ILS) regime.

iiThis standard has been agreed by the authorities concerned with its use and is intended to be used in all future designs, contracts, orders etc and, whenever practicable, by amendment to those already in existence. If any difficulties arise which prevent application of this Defence Standard, the Directorate of Standardisation shall be informed so that a remedy may be sought.

iiiAny enquiries regarding this Standard in relation to an Invitation To Tender (ITT), or a contract in which this Standard is incorporated, are to be addressed to the responsible technical or supervising authority named in the ITT or contract.

ivThis Defence Standard has been devised for the use of the Crown and its contractors in the execution of contracts for the Crown. The Crown hereby excludes all liability (other than for death or personal injury) whatsoever and howsoever arising (including, but without limitation, negligence on the part of the Crown, its servants or agents) for any loss or damage however caused where this Defence Standard is used for any other purpose.
