Res: Good morning. Today I was thinking about how the years have passed. We
have been together for 30 years in difcult and happy moments.
Rec: Indeed! How did the time pass like this? We have been through a lot together,
and this lls us with pride!
I taught us to deal with difcult times, depression, mania-hypomania, and prob-
lems in functioning. I improved our functional outcome and our quality of life. We
face our everyday life better. I boosted our condence by focusing on what we could
do even better. We evaluate every day our progress and our difculties and we are
the protagonists of our lives.
Res: You are absolutely right. I, in turn, tried to put a lter on us so that, on the
one hand, the application of everything we have learned is automated, and on the
other hand, we withstand the stress and the difculties by continuing the efforts with
hope and optimism. Difculties are for us a driving force for improvement and for
more endurance. Difculties are a compass for us to nd new ways of managing our
everyday life. Life without difculties would be very monotonous and would not give
us the opportunity to discover new ways of managing TRSBD.
In other words, recovery and resilience are the two main axes of any evidence-
based pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. They are also the two main axes of our
own program.
RECOVERYTRSBDGR can strengthen the claim, that is, the ability to claim the
rights, to ensure a greater quality of life and a better future without forgetting my
obligations to others.
Our model can protect our vulnerable fellow citizens and their families and help
them assert their rights by achieving more goals. Our model improves the relation-
ship between patients with TRSBD and their families by creating a context of coop-
eration and respect. Abuse has no place in this model. Thus, people are dynamic
elements of society that claim a better place in this society.
Scientists must create the right conditions within democracies so that those suf-
fering from chronic mental health disorders are protected and empowered. This
makes scientists key protectors of a resilient democracy.
The value and dignity of human life is protected by European Community law.
It is the highest good for all people around the world. The implementation of
evidence- based treatments for chronic mental disorders and TRSBD leads to rein-
tegration into society in various areas, such as work, housing and leisure. If there
is a balance in these areas, then the protection of the value and dignity of human
life is a given.
Thus mental health experts are evaluated as a whole if, through their interven-
tions, they protect the dignity of human life. This is a sacred, lifelong goal that gives
even greater meaning to the lives of mental health professionals, and patients with
chronic mental health disorders, and their families.
Our thoughts will always be with those who suffer from TRSBD and who lost
their lives because they did not get into a structured evidence-based therapeutic
context. But our thinking will also be about patients with TRSBD, who cannot have
access to modern therapies because they live in very poor countries.

Poverty is one of the biggest factors in the deterioration of mental health disor-
ders and deprives people of access to modern treatments. Scientists are obliged to
help poor countries implement modern treatments for chronic mental health
disorders.
The development of new therapeutic programs for TRSBD and research for their
effectiveness and efcacy require funding and long-term research implementation!
Organic and mental health is essential parts that determine human functionality.
It is the main core of life. Mental health is a driving force for life, for its evolution
and for achieving every goal. Evidence-based pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy
strengthen mental health, which in turn has a positive effect on one’s organic health.
Pharmacotherapy ensures the necessary balance for brain neurotransmitters,
which regulates cognitive functions, emotion, and behavior, and overall functional
outcome, and quality of life.
Psychotherapy is stored in the brain as a learning mechanism for processing and
reacting to the stimuli of everyday life, which improves daily quality of life, func-
tional outcomes, and systematically strengthens expectations for the future.
Recovery as a process by patients with TRSBD and their families renews this learn-
ing mechanism with new information and corrects any errors.
The combination of evidence-based pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy leads
to a restart of the whole life. Many problems are solved and new paths are opened
to achieve new goals. This new phase of life requires adjustment and a new restart.
Patients with TRSBD are challenged to consider the advantages and disadvantages
of these changes. They may end up having to be more functional in their lives than
they thought. This is something very positive, but at the same time it also requires a
new phase of adaptation.
Evidence-based psychotherapy is, in other words, a new mindset, a new philoso-
phy of life that leaves behind all the mistakes and so the person proceeds with new
and safer data. The effective combination of evidence-based pharmacotherapy and
psychotherapy becomes the basic life compass for the present and the future. All life
decisions are ltered through this new learning mechanism, which leaves its mark
throughout life.
A new therapeutic program is born, just like a child. Waiting for the birth of the
child is full of joy and optimism for the future. There will be pleasant and unpleasant
moments in this child’s life. What is needed for the child to be trained in durability,
resilience and the ability to face difcult situations by coming out more of any dif-
culty and making a new restart! So is the RECOVERYTRSBDGR!
The relationship with the child is maintained forever and we monitor its develop-
ment over time. This development will go through an evaluation, and measures will
be taken to improve and facilitate the child’s life and nally the child needs love,
acceptance, and stability in his or her life.
RECOVERYTRSBDGR meets the criteria of a recovery-oriented therapy. It
focuses on evidence-based therapeutic goals of TRSBD, provides individual and
group intervention, enables family education, and sends an optimistic message in
the context of mental health: TRSBD can be managed in a structured manner and
long term.

In other words, there are solutions, as long as mental health experts make a long-
term commitment to implementing evidence-based treatments. We accompany
patients with TRSBD and their families throughout their lives. This presupposes on
the part of mental health experts a sense of responsibility, endurance, an appropri-
ate value system, and lifelong learning.
We wish you a nice trip RECOVERYTRSBDGR and we hope to inspire many of our colleagues all
over the world! Time will show if RECOVERYTRSBDGR completes its journey and fulll the basic
goals of a recovery-oriented therapy. We are very happy to make available to the scientic com-
munity a new, modern, and recovery- oriented therapy for the patients with TRSBD and their
families.
