becomes essential. In this case, by “essential” we mean the surgeon to help the patient exhaust all possible ways to prevent surgery. If possible, preventing the use of drugs and surgery through psychological support to the patients is an important part of preserving the healthy life of patients. Minimization of the number of surgeries conducted and maximization of patient satisfaction may require this approach as long as the patient is satisfied with the proposed psychological support and living a life according to the proposed alternatives to undertaking surgeries and drug use. The strength of the body is designed in a way to accommodate challenges faced by human beings as we can see from clear evidence of how people survive through some of the most dramatic diseases.
In the case, when a surgery is needed, the optimization of the surgical procedure can be helpful for increasing patient satisfaction and specific outcomes. One of the most recent advancements in this era is 4D printing; this technology is introduced as the printing method that allows using 3D printing techniques in the creation of an object that can change its shape or properties in a way that its reaction to varying conditions can be predicted over time when exposed to water, air, heat, or an electric current [46]. Given the definition of 4D printing, mimicking of cartilages, tendons, and muscles as well as other biological elements may not be too far off from artificial development using 4D printing [50].
