If you want to cook cabbage soup you should take the following advice. Pour some water into a sauce-pan and put some meat into it. While it boils, peel and chop some onions. Grate some carrots. Fry vegetables in the frying pan and 2 spoonfuls of tomato puree and a little water. Put some cut potatoes and cabbage into the boiling soup. When the vegetables are ready, put stewed onions and carrots into the sauce-pan and add some salt to your taste. When the cabbage soup boils turn off the gas.

But when I was in the USA I and my friends managed to go on an excursion to the Great Lakes. We were greatly impressed by Lake Michigan and the Niagara Falls. But travelling for pleasure seems to be much more pleasant. You follow your own plan and don’t have to hurry to an important meeting or a conference in another city. So, the place of my location changes every vacation period. Once I went to Canada to visit my relatives in Quebec. The following summer I enjoyed the Caucasus in Russia. If you open my album, you will even see the pictures of the Dardanelles and the Grand Canyon, taken by me. Surprisingly, my desire to discover faraway spots of the globe doesn’t lessen at all. At the moment my dream is to see the bird’s-eye-view of the Vatican! What’s yours?

People are said to have stopped reading books. But my deep conviction is that most of us are not simply used to reading as it should be motivated and encouraged early in life by our parents. Do you think a child will feel like reading if he has never seen his mother or father with a book? Children are always eager for learning but they don’t know it. And when they start schooling, the sources of learning there are often fouled with tensions, anxieties and the shame and fear of low marks, so it is no wonder that we are not a book-loving people. We should always remember that true learning can be achieved only through intensive reading.
