Dear Mrs Eglīte,

With reference to your advertisement in last week's newspaper, I am writing to apply for the position of guide-interpreter at the Daugavpils Local History and Art Museum. I am very interested in this opportunity as I am passionate about languages, local culture and history.

I am 24 years old and hold a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from State University (completed in 2021). I also possess a certificate in Translation and Interpretation (English and German).

Regarding my experience, I worked as a volunteer guide at the university museum for two years. During this time, I helped organize cultural events and workshops. I have excellent communication skills and truly enjoy sharing historical knowledge with visitors of all ages.

I am available to work full-time from January to August. I would love to promote the cultural heritage of the Latgale region.

I enclose a reference from my university professor. I would be grateful if you would consider my application. I am available for an interview any weekday and look forward to hearing from you.
