Objects at high-pt experiments
•Muons: “the easiest” one, matching the signal in tracker with muon stations
•Electrons: track + ECAL cluster (but ~no HCAL activity in the same region)
•Taus: dedicated algorithms, usually targeting τ→πππ(π)ν decay mode
•Jets: set of collimated particles, combining info from trackers and calorimeters
•Jet identification, like b-jet, c-jet … based on the ingredients and their topology
•MET: missing transverse energy in the event
•Z: almost always in the decay into ee or μμ
•W: high-pT lepton + MET, with a selection on M(lep + Emiss)
•Top: b-jet + W
