CHAPTER 7. BOOKS ON MACULAR DEGENERATION

Overview

This chapter provides bibliographic book references relating to macular degeneration. In addition to online booksellers such as www.amazon.com and www.bn.com, excellent sources for book titles on macular degeneration include the Combined Health Information Database and the National Library of Medicine. The National Library of Medicine Book Index

The National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health has a massive database of books published on healthcare and biomedicine. Go to the following Internet site, http://locatorplus.gov/, and then select “Search LOCATORplus.” Once you are in the search area, simply type “macular degeneration” (or synonyms) into the search box, and select “books only.” From there, results can be sorted by publication date, author, or relevance. The books may be accessed in two ways: (1) by searching directly using any search term or phrase (in the same way as the bibliographic database PubMed), or (2) by following the links to PubMed abstracts.
