CHAPTER 7. MULTIMEDIA ON DIABETIC RETINOPATHY
Overview
In this chapter, we show you how to keep current on multimedia sources of information on diabetic retinopathy. We start with sources that have been summarized by federal agencies, and then show you how to find bibliographic information catalogued by the National Library of Medicine.
Video Recordings
An excellent source of multimedia information on diabetic retinopathy is the Combined Health Information Database. You will need to limit your search to “Videorecording” and “diabetic retinopathy” using the “Detailed Search” option. Go directly to the following hyperlink: http://chid.nih.gov/detail/detail.html. To find video productions, use the drop boxes at the bottom of the search page where “You may refine your search by.” Select the dates and language you prefer, and the format option “Videorecording (videotape, videocassette, etc.).” Type “diabetic retinopathy” (or synonyms) into the “For these words:” box.
