There are too many unacceptable methods in advertising today
The world that we live in today is dominated by advertising. Furthermore, commercials play paramount role in product marketing. In reality, many of the strategies used to sell a product or service can be considered unacceptable and unethical. I strongly agree with this assertion and below are my reasons.
To begin with, the fact that we cannot escape from advertising is a significant cause for complaint. Constant images and signs wherever we look can be very intrusive and irritating at times. For example, advertising banners on the streets, in the subway, advertising before each video on the Internet and in each game between levels. Advertising also encourages people to buy products they may not need or even harm. Children and young people in particular are influenced by adverts showing the latest toys, clothing, fast or junk food, as a result this can put enormous pressure on the parents to buy these products.
Manufacturers put up adverts that don't just promote their brands, but also put that of their competitors in the negative light. However, some people think smear campaigns work because the narcissist is extremely convincing, and people aren't aware enough of narcissism to realize this. On the contrary, 11 out of 15 studies of the effect of negative advertising on viewer awareness of a company found that it increased awareness, although the effect was not very strong, and 4 found a decrease in interest.
In conclusion, I would like to say that some companies use inappropriate and unethical ways to advertise their products, and this practice results in consumer dissatisfaction and detrimental impacts on children and individuals.
