The issue of crime has been relevant at all times. There have always been people who wanted to get wealth and money dishonestly. It affects the lives of many people and has a huge impact on society.

Crime is an act that goes against established social laws. It disturbs social order. There are many types of crimes: murder, robbery, vandalism, kidnapping and so on. Some people may turn to crime as an easy way of making money. If they are starving, they can steal a wallet. There are also violent people who commit crimes because of their desire. They can kill a person, rob a bank and much more. Anton Pavlovich Chekhov said that there is no crime worse than the murder of the weak and defenseless. I agree with this and in my opinion, premeditated murder is the most serious crime.

Nowadays there is a huge variety of crime fiction in the world. In my opinion, this is because watching such films brings a lot of emotions and is very exciting. People have a longing to solve a unique puzzle together with the characters. The audience, together with the heroes of the films, investigate the crime. It's cool to feel when someone you suspect of crimes eventually confess to a crime. And it's even more interesting when the police to prove quietly of a crime and deliver a verdict crimes to someone you didn't even know about and to clear the suspect of a crime. And it's always interesting to visit the dark side of the human psyche. I think what makes a thriller great is a well-thought-out script, a tense atmosphere and realistic motives of the characters.

Few adults commit a crime at one time or another, sometimes accidentally, but why do some people commit crimes intentionally? Sociologists have put forward three theories that try to explain the causes of criminal behavior. The idea that some people commit crimes because of biological factors has a long tradition. This theory suggests that criminals are born, not made. Studies of adopted children who show criminal behaviour suggest that their behaviour is more similar to their biological parents behaviour than their adoptive parents, showing a genetic link. Environment theory states that a person's surroundings influence their behaviour. Children form close relationships with their parents and the environment, as well as with the human environment, and can learn from them bad behavior. And finally, the last theory. The central idea of the theory of choice is that a person decides on a life of crime as an alternative way to earn a living.

The reasons for having a run-in with the law are complex and will vary from person to person, and in most cases there will be more than one reason for the behavior of any particular criminal. But in my opinion, the most important and difficult problem is the environment. Problem children grow into problem adults, and most likely they will have problem children. It is not easy to break this vicious circle, and the problem should be solved at the state level.

Today, the world is more digitally connected than ever before. Criminals take advantage of this online transformation to target weaknesses in online systems, networks and infrastructure. These crimes are called cybercrimes, and I will cover two common types. Due to downloading different programs, viruses may appear on your computer. This means that virus will be automatically redirected to malicious sites, or it will damage computer and interfere with their normal operation. Besides viruses, identity theft is a cybercrime. Identity theft happens when your personal information is stolen and used by cyber criminals or scammers to impersonate you. For instance, a stolen personal page on the Internet can be used to spread malicious attachments or links.

There are several ways to protect yourself on the Internet. First, you should use antivirus software. Secondly, it is necessary to keep operating system and other software updated. These updates will often contain new features, fixes for bugs and performance improvements. They will often also contain security patches and new security features, both of which it's important to install. Patches matter because they fix known flaws in products that attackers can use to compromise your devices. And last but not least, use secure passwords. The stronger your password, the more protected your computer will be from hackers and malicious software.

In conclusion, I want to say that crime is an actual problem. Crime can never be stopped completely, but it can be controlled and reduced with the correct measures.
