Engineering is the application of natural sciences and mathematics to solve problems. While a scientist will ask why there is a problem, an engineer will want to know how to solve it. A writer once said that scientists build in order to learn, while engineers learn in order to build.
Engineers play an important role in creating advanced technologies and making innovations accessible to the whole world. Engineering about designing new products and finding new uses for old products. They carry out research and put their knowledge in practice. There are all sorts of opportunities in a variety of engineering fields such as aerospace, biomedical, civil, mechanical and computer engineering. Different types of engineers solve different problems. Aerospace engineering is the primary field of engineering concerned with the development of aircraft and spacecraft. It helps explore new worlds. Environmental engineering focuses on ways to prevent pollution.Сhemical engineering contributes to develop new medicines. Engineers work in research labs, outdoors, and even out space!
Holland is prone to flooding, due to the fact that it is a geographically low–lying country. One of the greatest engineering achievements is the Delta project. This is the biggest obstacle to flooding on the planet. This helps to protect a huge piece of land in the Netherlands. It includes a number of methods, including dams and flood boundaries.
