7. Home is where our story begins (Comment on homes in different cultures and the way we can learn the person through his home).

Home is a place where all of us learn baic things about navigating through life. In future we repeat same patterns as our parents, we learn love, feelings and pain through them. Home is rehearsal of real life, you get a grasp of what life basically is. Firstly we are born into a family and are being shaped into a person by them. But I do truly believe that further on home is where the heart is. We will repeat the mistakes of our parents, we will unconciously behave like them even though we don’t want to, because we may think that it’s right. But it must be our concious effort to learn to live differently and maturely.

There is another aspect of this question. As my favorite band sang, ‘Am I me through geography?’ And the answer is yes. And because different cultures pursue life differently the homes are also diverse, starting from the outlook and ending with upbringnig. Asian families for examle are usually more strict and cherish diligence, dedication and job security, whether American or Europian families are considered more open, out-going and liberal and therefore people are considered to be more carefree and non-chalant rather than in asian countries

8. If aliens visited your country, what might surprise them? (Comment on the concept of culture shock and cultural mentality)

If aliens visited my country, many things would surprise them. Currently, Russia is the dominant country for the whole world, many things surprise many foreigners coming here, and aliens would be surprised by the following facts too.

One of the facts is that Russia ranks first in terms of territory area, it may take more than seven days by train to get from one region to another. At the same time, everyone always interacts easily with each other. This fact is striking for many visitors, so it could also amaze aliens.

The next confusing feature is that there are multilingual and diverse people living in Russia. Inhabitants of Russia use about two hundred and eighty languages varieties, depending on the regions of residence and the use of dialects.

Virtually all Russians are good-natured, hospitable and persistent. Therefore, they can talk or invite an unfamiliar person to visit.

Considerable parts of Russians have endurance, due to the workload, strain, rapid pace of life, as well as the hard climate. Therefore, no matter what happens, Russians can withstand any obstructions.

It is also a fact that Russians live in apartment buildings, they are overwhelmed and overflow, many call such houses anthills. I think that such buildings would surprise the aliens.
