  3. 1. All the electrochemical processes depend on the electrolyte.

2. Batteries can be recharged.

3. A dry cell has a fixed resistor.

4. Rechargeable cells are often connected in series to form a battery.

5. When current is passed through cells of the battery in the reverse direction they have a reversible chemical reaction.

6. There are two types of resistors: fixed, variable and analogue, digital.

7. Instruments are classified as analogue and digital.

8. The effect of heat produced by a current in a conductor is used in thermocouple instruments.

9. The moving coil is situated in the magnetic field produced by a permanent magnet.

10. The “voltage” coil has many turns of thin wire.

1.As far as I know (remember), each cell contains an electrolyte and two electrodes.

2. To my mind, there are two categories of cells: primary cells and secondary cells.

3. Certainly, a primary cell cannot be recharged.

4. If I'm not mistaken, it must be discarded because the chemical reaction is irreversible.

5. The reversible chemical reaction in a secondary cell allows it to be recharged.

6. As far as I know (remember), a dry cell has a fixed resistor and a wet cell has a liquid electrolyte.

7. I should say that we call a group of cells connected together a battery.

8. When rechargeable cells are connected in series, they form a battery that can provide a higher voltage than a single cell. It works by combining the voltage of each cell.

9. The function of a resistor is to limit the flow of current in a circuit.

  1. d) The function of a resistor is to limit the flow of current in a circuit. This is important for controlling the amount of energy that is transferred and preventing damage to other components.

1)Cells produce an e.m.f. through chemical reactions between two plates immersed in an electrolyte. Primary cells cannot be recharged and must be discarded, while secondary cells can be recharged by reversing the chemical action inside. Cells can be dry or wet, and batteries are interconnected groups of cells that provide higher voltage and/or current.

3.3)A galvanometer or moving-coil instrument uses the force experienced by a current-carrying conductor in a magnetic field to measure current. The instrument consists of a coil that rotates around a soft-iron core in a magnetic field produced by a permanent magnet. The movement of the coil is controlled by a hairspring or taut band, and damping is achieved by extracting energy from the moving system through the induction of an eddy current in the aluminium former.

3.2) Instruments are classified as analog or digital. Analog instruments display the magnitude of the measured electrical quantity by moving the pointer along the scale. Digital tools display data as a series of numbers on the screen, where the smallest change in the specified value corresponds to a change of 1 in the least significant digit. Both types of tools have their advantages and disadvantages, and the choice of the best tool depends on the intended application.

3.5) A wattmeter measures the power consumption in an electrical circuit using fixed and rotating coils. It operates on both direct and alternating current. The power of a three-phase circuit is determined through two wattmeter by a special method.
