Some More Facts about Chemistry

Chemistry is a very large subject. Chemistry is a complex subject. It is the investigation and discussion of the properties of substances. Through chemistry we can obtain the knowledge of matter, its changes and transformations.

Chemistry is concerned with the nature of fire and the structure of water. It deals with colours, catalysis and crystal structure, with physical properties and chemical reactivity.

Chemistry began in ancient times with the manufacture of bronze, iron, ceramics, and glass.

There are different subdivisions in the broad field of chemistry. There is descriptive and theoretical chemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry. Besides, chemistry may be divided into analytical chemistry and synthetic chemistry.

Analytical chemistry studies the method of separation. Synthetic chemistry is concerned with the methods by which complex bodies can be built from simpler substances.

Students of all technical major must study chemistry as it plays an important part in the development of other sciences, such as physics, geology, biochemistry. Chemistry is closely connected with medicine and agriculture. Technological progress is impossible without chemistry. Many new polymers with valuable properties were created by chemists.

These new materials have been used by people for already many years. Through further development chemists together with ecologists will have created new kinds of fuel to substitute natural sources of energy.
