Мой любимый жанр Импрессионизм

Claude Monet was a famous French painter of the nineteenth century. He is considered to be the founder of a new movement in painting at that time - impressionism. Monet began to draw early. They were caricatures, which he sold in his father's shop. Later he became interested in working in nature and began to create his famous paintings.

Living with his family in Argenteum, he painted his beloved wife Camille extensively. One such work, painted in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, is entitled "A Walk. A lady with an umbrella". The painting depicts Camille Monet with her eldest son Jean.

The artist painted his wife standing on a hill. Background for the female figure is a blue sky with snow-white clouds running across it. Little Jean stands a little away, so all the attention of the viewer focused on the woman. She is wearing a light light blue dress. It may be white, but it looks blue against the blue sky. She is holding a summer umbrella. The weather is quite hot. The sun is shining brightly. It's flooding everything around. The woman and the child seem to dissolve in the sunlight.

A light breeze is blowing. Clouds fly in the sky, and the young woman's hair and dress flutter. Waves of white across the sky create an impression of the airiness of the space. Even the woman seems light and airy. She is about to fly away with the clouds into the unknown distance. The woman looks slightly surprised. She sees the artist and is embarrassed that she, a heavenly creature, has been caught unawares. But she's in no hurry to fly away. Curiosity takes over.

Monet is not interested in nature. All his attention is absorbed by the woman, so beautiful and airy. He only sketches a green meadow under the feet of the ethereal creature, and the branches of the tree above, under which the woman is standing. The artist is watched keenly by a young boy. He stands at a distance, as an onlooker. He is preoccupied with the astonishing process of painting, and he watches the movements of the artist's brush with curiosity.

Claude Monet's painting A Walk. Lady with an Umbrella" is so bright and joyful that when you look at her, it becomes easy on the soul. It radiates love and happiness. And at the same time, it speaks of something unearthly, something that is hidden behind the blue of the sky, behind the clouds running somewhere. The great artist succeeded in uniting the earthly with the unearthly, ordinary life with eternity. Four years after creating this painting, Camille Monet dies of tuberculosis. But on the canvas, she will always remain young and blooming, giving joy to all who look at the picture.

Travelling today is not only a positive phenomenon

I've learned that you don't always have to choose the cheapest hotels, buy disposable items for your trip and grab Chinese souvenirs without looking. Money for a tourist is not just a way of paying for goods, but also a way of approving a service and supporting the locals. You can use your money to support a woman who has many children and makes beautiful handicrafts or a huge factory in Thailand where they exploit children and pay them a dollar a day. You can either encourage a chain of hotels whose owner has more than one Ferrari, or a local hostel where the owner grows his own vegetables, recycles rubbish and filters the water. A similar choice is faced by travellers every day!

I love watching documentaries (e.g., on Discovery) that cover global warming, the greenhouse effect or the extermination of animals. But what do I, an ordinary tourist, have to do to make a difference so that my travels stop harming the world?

It is no secret that the rapid development of air transport and its increasing role in people's lives is having a detrimental effect on the environment.

Planes are not always the most convenient way to travel. Much more often I prefer to travel by train and public transport. Sometimes a five-hour train ride is more profitable, greener and faster than a 30-minute plane ride. After all, the plane has to be there two hours earlier, plus most of the time the airports are outside the city limits, and buses and trains bring you into the centre, and you can see a lot of interesting things out of the window.

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a clean public beach. You can grudgingly snort and shove the bottle nailed by the waves away from you, or you can do something, like collect it and throw it away. Reducing the use of plastic is not easy (it's everywhere now), but let's try to figure out how to do it while travelling

Eco-hotels are becoming increasingly popular and affordable - that's good news. They differ from conventional hotels in that they recycle rubbish and waste, grow their own food, filter water, use renewable energy, hire and pay local people, do not use plastic, support local farmers, fishermen and artists.

A holiday at such a hotel will always be about being at one with nature. You may not have a 40" TV, but you'll wake up to birds singing, and they are not afraid to come to their territory.

Many people think that such things will not help and we need big companies to stop polluting, but we, the tourists and travelers, directly influence the trends, we raise the demand and it is our choice what goods will be produced. If we switch to greener practices and stay away from companies that don't care about the environment, we can make this world a little better, and we will still have a chance to show its beauty to our children.

Art all over the World: Eternal Travel

Art... What does that magic word mean? For me, art is something mysterious, untold, inexplicable. A branch of creative artistic activity. The main arts: painting, sculpture, poetry, architecture, music and dance". The inimitable word "art" contains a lot of things. But in my work, I want to focus on the art of painting, which is the closest to me because I graduated from art school and I realize that the years of study have not passed without leaving a trace. "The magic power of art" still beckons me.

So, my view of the art of painting. First of all, it is an enormous amount of work. A true artist first feels the picture with every cell of his body, and then reflects his feelings on the canvas. A spectator enjoys the picture, gets the feeling of joy or sorrow, and of course, does not think about how many sleepless nights the creator spent creating his unique masterpiece. I like to look at paintings long and attentively. You come closer and closer to a painting and you want to look at every stroke, not to miss any detail and to imagine yourself as the creator. You're sitting in the studio... The whole room is saturated with the smell of paint, thickeners and solvents. The workshop is chaotic and disorderly, but you don't see any of that: the muse has caught up with you. You are overwhelmed with emotion, you are immersed in the art of painting: you take your brush and start a stroke, another, your hand moves quickly, a stroke, another stroke... Then you step away from the painting and look at it from a distance. You are overwhelmed with a sense of satisfaction, because you understand that you've got what you wanted to convey. Here it is, the artist's hard work, all-consuming, demanding and energy-consuming, but so beautiful and mysterious.

The art of painting is, in my view, the mediator between man and nature. Look around you. How beautiful the sunset, enveloping the forest in warm colours. It turns trees red and their shadows purple. Our souls are calm, warm, and you involuntarily recall the artists, who conveyed the beauty of nature to us on their canvases. Levitan I.I., Kuindzhi A.I., Shishkin I.I., Polenov V.D. - this is not a complete list of artists who were able to show us in their paintings the unity of man with nature. Who does not know about Ivan Levitan's painting "Golden Autumn"? Everyone knows this artist and this landscape. But the amazing thing is that an eternal theme is portrayed on the canvas, but this discreet autumn landscape does not bore anyone. The centuries have passed, but no matter how much people admire this landscape, each time they discover something new in the depiction of autumn. I often look at this painting. The autumn sun is shining dimly. A birch grove in front of me, then a field beyond which one can see several wooden houses and a narrow river with low banks. My attention is fixed on the birch trees whose foliage shimmers like gold. Everything in the picture is ordinary and unusual. The artist has put all his love for nature in this masterpiece, and the viewer feels it. In this way, the landscapes help one to get in touch with nature once again and to think about the attitude towards it.

When we go to a gallery, we enjoy the beauty of the paintings. When we listen to an opera, we hear the sounds of nature. An astronaut enjoys the beauty of space and cannot gaze at its depths. In the nineteenth century there was even a theory of pure art. It suggested that art is dearer than life. And a writer like Chernyshevsky dispelled that theory. What I mean is that each person chooses for himself how he refers to art. To notice the beauty of nature or not. To go to museums or not to go...
