IV. WRITING (20 points)
Write your essay in 140-160 words using the topical vocabulary you have studied during the semester.
This year has been full of anxiety and worry. We faced with many difficulties, lost touch with our closest ones, were cut off from safety, and were terrified of unknowing. A lot of Ukrainians were damaged to leave their country because of the war which started there. So, the number of people in different countries trying to find a job has grown considerably. Before the war, the main reason for seeking work abroad, in my opinion, is a lack of jobs or insufficient wages in the region in which people live. In Ukraine, the majority of the population travels to other countries every year to look for temporary or permanent employment. The United States, Canada, and the European Union are the countries to which most people go to work or are interested to look. One of the biggest problems that those who work abroad may encounter is cheating on their accommodation, wages, and salaries. They will need to have savings with them to make life there even more realistic, but in such cases, survival begins.
For me, it would be an interesting experience not only to earn a living or pocket money but also to learn more about different countries and their cultures. I would be able to combine the useful with the interesting.
In conclusion, I can say that looking for a job abroad, although it can be risky and sometimes even dangerous, is an opportunity to discover life in a different environment and to gain something more.
