3D Pantone versions

The μ logotype is composed of 5 interlocking elements:

the white μ letters, specially drawn for the logotype;

the red ball;

the black bar;

the gold outline;

the registered mark ®.

Distortion of the logotype in anyway is strictly prohibited for colours, proportions, font (weight and style) and space between letters.

To achieve a level of quality and consistency across every type of visual communication and to avoid any misrepresentation of the logotype, it is important to use the original artwork fi les.

This is the ideal representation of the μ logotype for most communication materials. This version is made of 2 colours (Black C, Red 1795 C) and one gold foil (Kurz Luxor 428).

When it is not possible to use gold foil, it can be substituted by the metallic printed gold Pantone 871 C. It is essential that these colours are perfectly matched each time the logotype is reproduced. For the exact colour references, please refer

3D CMYK

The CMYK version is to be used every time the μ logotype is printed with a four colour reproduction process.

Distortion of the logotype in anyway is strictly prohibited for colours, proportions, font (weight and style) and space between letters.

3D CMYK + gold foil Kurz LUXOR 428

For special printing processes, the 3D logotype with the gold foil Kurz Luxor 428 can be used.

3D CMYK + Pantone 871 C

For special printing processes, the 3D logotype with the metallic printed gold 871C can be used.

3D RGB

The RBG version is to be used for any digital application (websites, power point presentations, e-newsletters, TV, cinema, etc…). The RGB μ logotype is available in different pixel dimensions. These range from 1107 x 530 pixels (XXL) down to 73 X 34 pixels (XS).

Minimum sizes

In order to preserve the legibility of the μ logotype, two minimum sizes have been defi ned:

The minimum size for the 3D version of the logotype is 25mm;

A special logotype - 2D - has been created for minimum sizes between 25mm and 10mm.

2D Pantone versions

The 2D logotype is a fl at, colour version of the 3D μ logotype.

It must be used only if the 3D effect cannot be accurately achieved:

Small sizes (between 10mm and 25mm);

Special printing processes (screen printing for example).

2D Pantone colours + gold foil Kurz Luxor 428

This is the ideal print requirement for the 2D μ logotype.

2D Pantone colours + Pantone 871 C

When gold foil cannot be used, it should be substitued by the metallic, printed gold Pantone 871 C.

2D CMYK version

This version should be used in exceptional circumstances when the μ logotype has to be printed in a small size and with a four colour reproduction process.

To achieve a level of quality and consistency across every type of visual communication and to avoid any misrepresentation of the logotype, it is important to use the original artwork fi les.

TWO-COLOUR VERSION

Pantone version

The two-colour version of the μ logotype should only be used in the case

of technical or budget restrictions.

ONE-COLOUR VERSIONS

3D Greyscale version

When technically possible, the greyscale version of the 3D μ logotypeshouldbeusedforamoresophisticatedandpremiumrepresentation.

Pantone Black C

One-colour version

The one-colour version of the μ logotype should only be used in the case of technical or budget restrictions, or if the logotype needs to be reproduced on a specifi c material (glass, fabric, etc..).The one-colour version of the μ logotype can only be printed in black, white

or gold.

In order to protect the integrity of the μ logotype, a minimum clear area has been established.

The height of the minimum clear area equals half the height of letter ‘M’ in the logotype.

Full-colour versions

Should only be used on the following plain coloured backgrounds: White, Black, Gold and Red. They can also be used over a black & white image or the drink visual.

Two-colour version

Should only be used if, due to technical constraints, the 3D and 2D fullcolour versions cannot be used. It can only be used on the following plain coloured backgrounds: White, Black and Red or over a black & white image.
