ХОД УРОКА I. Организационный момент (3 мин)

Teacher: Good morning, pupils. Let’s greet our dear guests. These are our English teachers. Now take your seats and get ready for the lesson.

The theme of today’s lesson is “My favourite subject”. You’ve got four papers (см. Приложение на CD). They will be used at the lesson. Look through the papers and write down your names.

Teacher: (Слайды 1–2) During the lesson you’ll

talk about school subjects and activities at the lesson;

practice asking and answering questions with “What” and “Where”;

make up and act out a dialogue, share opinions about school subjects;

read and discuss Victoria’s school timetable, solve a puzzle, and try to write your own;

interview your classmates, talk about your favourite days of the week;

write a composition about your future.

1. Teacher: Take Paper 1. There are two tasks. Let’s review the school subjects (Task A). There are some words but their letters are scrambled. What are the subjects? (Слайд 3)

1. Teacher: (Слайд 9) Answer my questions, and then practise forming questions with “What?” and “Where?”. What do you study in room 110?

Pupil 1: We study English.

Teacher: What do you study in room 105? Pupil 2: We study Music.

Teacher: Where do you study Literature? Pupil 3: In room 301.

Teacher: Where do you study History? Pupil 4: In room 205.

Teacher: Look at the screen. Here is the plan of “Maze School” (Слайд 10).

Ask and answer questions about “Maze School”. Try not to get completely lost in the maze of the school. Work around the class. Ask each other in turn.

Pupil 1: Where do they study Maths, Ivan? Pupil 2 (Ivan): They study Maths in room 5. Pupil 1: What do they do in room 12, Sveta?

Pupil 3 (Sveta): In room 12 they play table tennis.

2. Teacher: (Слайд 11) Let’s talk about your favourite subjects. What’s your favourite subject? Why is it your favourite subject? What subject do you like least?

Find out this information from your partner. Make up a dialogue and act it out. Follow the example (Слайд 12).

The pupils act out the dialogues.

3. Teacher: (Слайды 13–14) Try to guess what your teacher’s favourite subject was when she was in the fifth form? It was more than 40 years ago. Ask yes/no-ques- tions. (На экране фотография учителя.)

Pupil 1: Did you like to draw? Teacher: No, I didn’t.

Pupil 2: Did you like to play sport games?

Teacher: Yes, I did, but PE wasn’t my favourite subject. Pupil 3: Did you like to study events in the past?

Teacher: It was interesting, but History wasn’t my favourite subject.

Pupil 4: Did you like to translate texts or learn new words? Teacher: Yes, I did, but English wasn’t my favourite subject. Pupil 5: Did you like to work with numbers?

Teacher: Yes, I did! I liked to add, subtract, divide and multiply numbers very, very much! Maths was my favourite subject!

Teacher: Who thinks that Maths is boring? Is Maths boring?

– No, it isn’t, I think! A famous Russian mathematician said: “Математика уж тем хороша, что она ум в порядок приводит”. These words belong to Sofia Kovalevskaya.

What will you be? Where will you live (country/town)? What will your house or apartment be like? Will you be married? Will you have children?

WELCOME TO “HOGWARTS SCHOOL”

Обобщающий урок-игра по теме “Школа”. 6-й класс (обучение со 2-го класса)

Цели и задачи:

1.Повторение и обобщение материла по теме “Школа”, модальный глагол must.

2.Развитие интереса к изучению английского языка.

3.Развитие навыков коллективной работы, взаимопомощи.

Оборудование: видеомагнитофон, магнитофон. Оформление кабинета: на доске красочный плакат

“Welcome to ‘Hogwarts School’”; на стенах кабинета ле-

тучие мыши, совы (вырезанные из бумаги), имитации паутины с пауками, лестниц. Целесообразно проводить урок в кабинете, незнакомом учащимся. Это усилит ощущение чего-то нового и незнакомого.

Учитель здоровается с учениками. Дети делятся на 3 команды.

Teacher: I don’t understand anything. Where are we? Is this your classroom?

Pupils: No, it isn’t.

Teacher: Is this your school? (Показывает на плакат с темой урока.)

Pupils: No, it isn’t.

Teacher: Can anybody explain anything to me!

Стук в дверь. Входят два старшеклассника в масках и колпаках: “We think we can help you.”

Teacher: Oh, thank you. But who are you? Pupil 1: I’m professor McGonagall.

Pupil 2: And I’m Professor Sprout. We are teachers at this school.

Teacher: Nice to meet you, professors.

(Обращаяськученикам.) I think it is a strange school, isn’t it? These professors are very strange, aren’t they? (Ученики отвечают.)

(Обращаясь к “профессорам”.) I’m very sorry. But the children think that this is a strange school and you look strange for teachers.

Pr. McGonagall: It’s usual at this school. I’m sure you know this place well. But you must guess.

Pr. Sprout: Will you switch on the TV, please? Then you will understand everything.

Pr. McGonagall: So, what school is it?

Pupils: It is the school where Harry Potter studied.

Pr. Sprout: Yes, you are right. Our school is called “Hogwarts”. It is a school for wizards.

Teacher: Can we become your pupils?

Pr. McGonagall: Yes, you must know what pupils do at our school.

Дети называют глаголы: write, sing, run...

Команде, которая назвала больше глаголов, выдается карточка (форму можно выбрать любую: в виде совы, летучей мыши и т.д.).

Pr. Sprout: All right, children. You know the words well. You will have some other tasks today. This is your program.

I. Reading Magic Manuscripts

Задания написаны на доске. Выполняют по одному представителю от команд.

A. Некоторые слова стерлись от времени, нужно добавить нужное слово.

Pupils ___________ come to school on time. They must wear ___________ everyday. Pupils ___________ sleep at the lessons. In class they write and ___________ magic books. They must do ___________ every day.

Words: must, uniforms, mustn’t, read, homework.

B. Другой манускрипт разорвался на части: предложения перепутались. Нужно подобрать соответствующее продолжение предложения.

III. Doing Puzzles

Для выполнения этого задания детям выдаются разрезанные на части открытки, на которых написаны предложения. Не глядя на цветную сторону открытки, дети должны сложить кусочки открыток так, чтобы получилось правильное предложение. Склеив скотчем кусочки, можно перевернуть открытку и оценить, правильно ли составлено предложение.

IV. Singing a Happy Song

VI. Working Out School Uniforms and School Rules

Ученикам выдаются листы бумаги с изображением ученика. Дети, работаявгруппах, должныраскраситькартинки, описать придуманную школьную форму и разработать школьные правила (предложения с модальным глаголом must/mustn’t).

“Профессора” школыHogwarts подсчитываютполученные детьми желтые и красные карточки и объявляют команду-победителя (члены команды получат шоколадные “медали”).

Лучший игрок награждается символом мудрости – совой. Всем учащимся выдаются сладкие “волшебные палочки” (длинные конфеты или печенье), которые свидетельствуют о том, что дети успешно прошли испытания и могут стать учениками школы для волшебников.

Обобщающий урок в 9-м классе

Цель урока: обобщить, систематизировать и закрепить полученные умения и навыки по теме “Система образования в англо-язычных странах и в нашей стране”.

Задачи урока:

Практическая:

повторить, обобщить и систематизировать знания учащихся по данной теме;

развивать речевые умения;

совершенствовать грамматические навыки (условные предложения);

развивать умение аудировать с детальным пониманием содержания;

развивать умение запрашивать информацию с помощью вопросов.

Развивающая:

развивать способности к осмысленности восприятия;

развивать способности к сравнению и сопоставлению фактов.

Воспитательная:

способствовать формированию интереса к системам образования в англоязычных странах.

Оборудование: доска, таблица, магнитофон, проектор, раздаточный материал, презентация.

ХОД УРОКА

1. Организационный момент

Приветствие, сообщение о теме и характере работы на данном уроке.

Teacher: Good morning! I am very glad to see you and hope that you are ready for the lesson and you are in a good mood. Today the theme of our lesson is “The system of school education in English-speaking countries and in our country” (Слайд 1).

Today we’ll speak about the role of knowledge in our life. Our task is to remember and discuss typical school education in Great Britain, the USA and our country. At the end of the lesson we’ll have creative work where we’ll try to make an image of an ideal school.

2. Warming-Up

Teacher: There is a saying about education. Let’s read and translate it (Слайд 2).

The better a person is educated, the greater his chance for success and the higher his standard of living is.

How do you understand it? The more a man knows, the more opportunities he/she has. Knowledge gives a man great power. Everybody must try to increase his/ her knowledge.

Do you share this opinion? Why?

Knowledge is power, isn’t it? Where do you gain knowledge?

Do you try to study all subjects well? Do you try to broaden your outlook?

3.Развитие речевых навыков

Teacher: (Слайд 3)

The more we learn – the more we know, The more we know – the more we forget, The more we forget – the less we know.

So why study?

So, “Why do you study?” “Why do you go to school?” “Is education important?”

Pupils: I go to school...

...because I must get an education;

...because secondary education is compulsory;

...because we have exams this year;

...because it is interesting to study;

...because I like to take part in social life;

...because knowledge is power;

...because I want to have an interesting profession;

...because I want to enter a university;

...because I want to succeed in life.

4.Phonetic Practice

Teacher: Now let’s review proverbs about learning. Match the proverbs and their Russian equivalents. Repeat it after me, please (Слайд 5).

Proberbs:

Live and learn. – Век живи, век учись.

It’s never too late to learn. – Учиться никогда не поздно.

Practice makes perfect. – Повторение – мать учения.

A little learning is a dangerous thing. – Недоученный хуже ученого.

Teacher: At home you were to prepare the phonetic reading of the poem “Today is Yours”.

Teacher: What is the idea of the poem? You shouldn’t waste time, should you? You should find ways to grow, to improve your knowledge. What is your main task now? It is the most important time for you, isn’t it? Do you try to study hard to be well prepared for exam?
