.docxAir pollution is a global environmental problem. It is a threat to the depletion of oxygen reserves, which are needed to support all living things, and leads to climate change. It is also one of the main health risk factors.
Causes:
Natural (volcanic eruptions, dust storms, earthquakes, forest fires, meteorites), they appear without human intervention, but most of them are potential.
Human (we consume a lot and for this we need to produce a lot, the most common are: transport development, industrial production, the use of fertilizers and chemicals, radiation)
Effects:
Health threat, high mortality in countries with poor ecology
Emission of harmful gases - Ozone layer depletion - greenhouse effect - more sun rays - more heat - global warming - climate change - melting glaciers - sea level rise - drought and floods
Destruction of flora and fauna
Acid rains - cause health problems, oxidation of rivers and lakes, soil destruction
Smog - polluted air, contains a high concentration of dust and toxic substances
Stink and bad smells
Ways to solve: the first and main step is to start with yourself. Very often people think that they personally can’t influence global problems, but this is not true. If everyone starts to do something, it will be a huge contribution to solving this problem.
We should build factories outside the city, use clean technology, use industrial filters, plant greenery as a natural barrier
Separation of waste, its recycling, reusing - reducing the size of landfills that emit harmful gases when decomposed
Abandon chemical fertilizers that poison the soil
Save forests, make more parks in cities
Transition to renewable energy sources (sun, wind, waves, water)
Pay attention to cyclists, make their life more convenient, for example, more bike paths, more bike rental points, use clean fuels or electric cars
Make this information available to everyone and everyone, hold educational meetings and lectures on this topic
