EAST – WEST – RUSSIA:
SPECIFICS OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION
Abstract. This article reflects the continuity of the experience of the Russian culture and postulates the idea that Russia could largely reduce misunderstandings between East and West. Representations of the East and the West as a cultural and civilizational antipodes gave rise to opinions about their one-sidedness, and hence the need for the synthesis of Eastern and Western cultures. Occupying a favorable geographical position, given its Eurasian and relying on the richness of their culture, Russia is able to contribute to the dialogue of the East and the West.
