The purpose of the article is to show the stages of development of a quantum computer from 1981, when they decided to use a quantum computer to solve mathematical problems to the present day.

The research method used in the article is a description with elements of comparison.

The first part is devoted to the description of the introduction of a quantum computer for solving problems of searching for prime numbers and quantum data search in an unstructured database. The quantum computer coped with this task several orders of magnitude faster than the computer.

The second part of the article is devoted to the use of a quantum computer to replace a computer and the problem associated with it, a quantum computer should be isolated from the external environment, but receive data from it, so a correction of quantum computer errors was invented, which can become a bottleneck of all computing power.

The article describes the period of development of a quantum computer.

The author's conclusion is that even when using a quantum computer in some tasks, it may be slower than usual and it may not be implemented everywhere. It will be used as a super computer.
