The course of international trade law. First we have to discuss the subject, matter and the sources of the international trade law.

International legislation. There is no international Gosduma, but this terminology is used for conventions, treaties and other documents of international organisations.

Two parts – treaties, three and more – conventions.

Regional – EU, CIS, EEUCU, Islamic world / Universal

Vienna Convention – will of states, UNIDROIT – will of merchants, lex mercatoria.

Subjects – every international body can enter into international relations if it is recognized all over the world – reciprocity. Besides these national subjects, there are European, international organisations, etc.

Object – money, goods, services, securities, information.

International trade law

Notion appeared in our legal science not long ago – in 1960s. Closely connected with the appearance of UNCITRAL (The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law), UN General Assembly formed this commission in 1960s by the proposals of socialist countries.

Russian trade law is not definite and separate part of law, it is a part of Russian civil law. It exists as a branch of legislation nonetheless. Russian law is divided into public and private law. International law has the same division. During Soviet system everything was public.

International trade law – the aggregate of legal norms of international legislation of Vienna convention and new lex mercatoria (Principles of UNIDROIT).
