9 клас

Мета: активізувати вживання ЛО з теми „Письменники”, розвиток навичок аудіювання, розвиток навичок читання, розвиток навичок діалогічного та монологічного мовлення за темою, підготувати до самостійного висловлення, розширити знання учнів з країнознавства.

Обладнання: підручник, портрет В.Шекспіра, карта “Great Britain”, роздатковий матеріал, текст Шекспіра, питання на дошці.

План уроку.

William Shakespeare was the greatest writer in he English language. He was born in 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon. At the age of eighteen he married Anne Hathaway, who was eight years older than himself. A few years later he went to London, where he worked as an actor and playwright. Shakespeare wrote thirty-seven plays and 154 sonnets. His most famous plays are the four great tragedies – Othello, Macbeth, Hamlet and King Lear. He also wrote several historical plays. Eight of these plays were about English kings, including Richard II, Henry V and Richard III. Other dealt with Roman history and included Julius Caesar and Anthony and Cleopatra. But not all of Shakespeare’s play were serious. He also wrote comedies, such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Twelfth Night.

Shakespeare died in Stratford on 23 April 1616, but his plays are still very popular today. They have been translated into several different languages, and many of them have been made into films, both in English and either languages. Shakespeare’s plays are about the great issue of life – love, hate, jealousy, power, ambition, death and so on. So, his plays are just as relevant today as they were in the sixteenth century. To show this, modern directors sometimes do the plays in modern dress, and one of Shakespeare’s plays has even been turned into a modern musical. His romantic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, was the basis for the musical West Side Story.

Shakespeare is a famous English writer. He was born an Stratford-on-Avon. William spent his childhood in his native town. William’s father was a rich man, William receive a good education. He was born and lived in the town on the bank of the River Avon. Stratford is in the centre of England. Some later William go to London and begin to work. First work was to look after horses of rich people. Later Shakespeare founded a theatre himself. The name of the theatre was “The Globe” because it was round. Shakespeare wrote 37 plays and 154 sonnets. The most popular Shakespeare’s works are “King Lear”, the main heroes of this play are Goneril, Regan, Cordelia and King Lear, the play “Romeo and Juliet” this names played the main parts of this, the other “Othello” the main heroes Othello and Desdemona.

These works are very popular nowadays. They are translated into many languages they are read and loved by the people all over the world.
