MUCTR

In 1898, the Moscow Industrial School was founded. At that time, it was a new type of educational institution. The Mendeleev Institute was founded in 1920 on the basis of the Moscow Industrial School. Since then, it has become a famous university. Currently, many students, postgraduates and interns are studying at Mendeleev University. Its graduates are outstanding scientists, politicians, heads of research centers and industrial enterprises, well-known businessmen, showmen and bankers. It is recognized as an international center of chemistry and chemical technology.

The research conducted in MUCTR covers almost all branches of chemistry, chemical technology, biotechnology, as well as many areas of knowledge that have nothing to do with chemistry. One of the priority areas is energy conservation and safety of chemical technologies. Priority is also given to the creation of a new generation of inorganic materials. The scientists were awarded the State Prize for their success in creating materials. More than 300 textbooks have been published. Mendeleev University conducts research on programs developed in the Department of Education of the Russian Federation. MUCTR was assigned to lead a major Chemical Technology program.
