The last stage of secondary education in the US is the higher school, which lasts from the ninth to the twelfth grades. Pupils in high school can choose subjects more freely than before, and should only follow the minimum criteria for obtaining a diploma established by the school board. In the UK-Up to the age of 14 they study basic general subjects on an obligatory unified state program. Then within two years there is a preparation for the GCSE exams in 6-10 subjects. After passing these exams, the compulsory secondary education program is completed.

The national flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a rectangular panel of blue color with a picture in the center of the sun with rays, under which is a soaring eagle.
