Introduction

To solve the problems of organization and management of production and economic activities of enterprises, the creation and introduction of new technologies, the future engineer of the electric power industry needs to have not only technical but also economic knowledge. This knowledge is based on the scientific concepts currently accepted in economic science, correspond to the actual economic relations in the energy sector, is of a basic nature and develops students' skills and abilities for their further development in the course of practical activities.

Considerable attention should be given to the methodological issues of planning the production and economic activities of energy enterprises. Also, the conditions for the competitiveness of the enterprise, the various types of implementation of energy-saving technologies. It is also necessary to consider the issues of assessing the economic efficiency of energy resources in industrial energy. Prospects for the development of the industry as a whole and its individual enterprises are determined by the nature of future technological changes. In the near future, revolutionary changes are expected in the technological base of the energy sector, which will entail fundamental changes in the organizational structure of the energy economy, increasing the economy of production and use of energy resources. The foundation for them is laid today. Therefore, the future engineer specialist needs in-depth knowledge for economically justified, consistent with the overall strategy for the development of energy solutions regardless of their scale and level.

1 Purpose and tasks of the calculation and graphic works

 

The purpose of the calculations is to obtain the skills of performing the basic technical and economic calculations in the energy production.

The task includes: the selection of equipment based on the specified energy consumption of the region, the calculation of the operating mode of energy producing organizations, the implementation of predictive calculations of final electricity prices for wholesale and retail customers based on the simulation model of the functioning of the electricity and capacity market in a given energy system. The basis for forecast calculations is the initial data and calculations of technical and economic indicators of energy producing (EPO) and energy transmission organizations.

To solve the problem, you should use this methodical instruction, recommended literature, lecture material on the course "Industry Economics", as well as special information, given in the annexes. Calculations are recommended to be performed using the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or its functional counterparts, which the student should already be able to use.

The initial data are given in the annexes for use in training purposes.

          Calculation and graphic works are performed in the total volume of 15-20 pages of the explanatory note and should include the following sections:
