АННОТАЦИЯ

Книга М. Смит «Здравоохранение и оздоровительный туризм» посвящена исследованию феномена лечебного туризма. Книга выдана в 2009 году. В нее включены исследования различных европейских авторов, посвященные вопросам развития, определения понятия лечебного туризма. Книга состоит из трех частей.

Первая часть посвящена общим вопросам лечебного туризма: проблемы определения понятия «лечебный туризм», история развития этого туристического направления, факторы роста влияния лечебного туризма и его различные аспекты (например, социальный аспект, политический, экономический). Вторая часть книги посвящена определению управления в сфере лечебного туризма и его структуре. Третья часть посвещена исследованию развития лечебного туризма в некоторых государствах, таких как Россия, Бельгия, Финляндия, Израиль и т.д.

Книга наполнена как теоретическими вопросами, так и практической составляющей, поэтому может быть использована как студентами, изучающими туризм, так и работниками туристической индустрии. В работе используется много терминологии, притом, как общетуристской, так и специфической для лечебного туризма.

Introduction

In many countries a tourism plays a great role in the forming of Gross domestic product, external trade balance activation, creating new jobs, providing employment. It influences the key economical branches as transport and communication, building, agriculture, consumer goods production and so on. In other words, appears to be peculiar stabilizer socio-economic development.

Sanatorium-resort service is a tourism branch of a great importance. But, to my deepest regret, this sphere didn’t become as profitable and effective as in other countries. Resorts survived their worst years, but apparent during 1998-2000 years shows that sanatorium-resort industry gradually becomes one of the most dynamically developing and attracting investors.

In it’s turn, sanatorium-resort industry in the region is stabilizing, activity in the tourism sector revives. Thus in my research you can find answers to the questions of sanatorium-resort service and maintenance in connection with tourist service market development. The work also addresses such issues as the role and impact on health-resort tourism in natural-medicinal resources, provides examples of how to develop the Spa tourism in the country and abroad as well as a number of other issues related to the problem of the development of this activity.

Spa and health tourism is closely connected with such types of tourism as environmental (aimed at recovery of the organism with the help of environmental factors: clean air, vegetation, animals, etc., the availability of treatment sources, mineral waters, etc.) and social (focused on the expanding horizons of tourists, and acquaint it with the life, culture, traditions and history of the city or district). In the world practice the concept of the resort includes the concept of both the recreational and resort Spa treatment is also part of the health-resort tourism.

Tourism is a very complex and multifaceted phenomenon, therefore, the phenomenon of tourism interests representatives of various fields of science, economists, historians, sociologists, geographers, etc. In the monograph the authors have tried to combine some conceptual models of science, differently describing the field of tourism. Summing up the results of this study, it is possible to draw some General results:

1. Tourism as one of the leisure activities the person has a complex effect on personality development.

2. Tourism in modern conditions is a global phenomenon and transnational scale.

Spa and health tourism is very important in the life of each of us. It is interesting that in addition to relaxing leisure facilities, a tourist gets not only a fascinating history of the people and the city as a whole, but also high-quality treatment, using both traditional and non-traditional methods.
